This week the sun finally appeared so we have spent a lot of time outside in the garden. The children have all been sensible and kept their sun hats on, worn sun cream and helped themselves to water if they got hot.
Writing and Drawing is still a big interest so we carried out a large scale writing activity. Jools was really interested in the numbers and even wrote One Thousand! We also did a transient art activity, the children had their own bags with natural resources in and could make a picture of their choice. Some of them used the camera to take a picture of their piece of art.
Welcome back everyone!!
What a busy week we have had. We have explored shapes and numbers through mark making, Max said “I’ve made the number 4, I’m 4. I’ll be 5 on my next birthday”. We have used musical instruments this week; Lucy said “can we do the band again”. We had a boy band – they sang Twinkle Twinkle Chocolate Bar and the girls sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We have also explored Forest School – it was lovely to be out in the sun shine. We used lots of water for filling and emptying, we painted the house and even had time for tasty strawberry milkshake.
