This week the afternoon Green Room have been tasting porridge like Goldilocks, we did Goldilocks yoga and explored the lego and small world area.

This week in the green room we have been exploring Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We read the story, tasted Salty porridge, sweet and just right porridge. We copied the yoga actions from goldilocks and the 3 bears.

We also used nets to collect the balls to sort into the correct colours-the children did a great job and helped to tidy.

This week the afternoon Green room children have been very busy.  We made vegetable soup and fresh bread for the Harvest Festival.  We also made our own bubble mix and blew some giant bubbles.  We have had great fun in the wind this week running around our garden with streamers.

In the green room this week we made bread for the harvest festival, everyone had their own piece of bread dough to knead. We have also explored the soft play, climbing and jumping off resources and balancing.

Today we had a visit from a school council member from Jarrow Cross Primary School who came and read one of our stories of the week to each of our groups of children. It was a lovely experience for all of the children.

Green Group Week beginning the 25th of September

By Mrs J Parker3rd October 2017

This week in the green room we went on a bear hunt following on from our story last week!! We splashed through the water, ran through long grass “swishy swashy” and tiptoed very quietly towards the cave. We also did yoga “going on the bear hunt”-everyone joined it.

Jessica kindly sent us a parcel-it was envelopes, Thank you!!

This week in the green room we made muffin pizzas. Some of the children liked them and some didn’t, but they all had a try.  We decided that we’d like to make cupcakes in the future.

The children all practiced their cutting skills.  They had a bag with a variety of things to cut in it.  The children were all really engaged in this activity.

In the green room we have been busy exploring lego. Jessica used the lego animals and bricks to build a farm, Lennon made a road and Charlotte made some traffic lights for him – “Red is stop, Green is go”.

We made chocolate crispy cakes for snack. The children independently mixed chocolate and rice crispies together.
