We have eight key aims for all of our children. These are:-
- Being Independent
- Being Confident
- Becoming an interested reader and writer
- Becoming a problem solver
- Being resilient
- Being inquisitive
- Being a good friend
- Being at one with nature
We understand and value the need to develop children’s fine and gross motor skills. This is a Prime area of learning and is essential for other skills to develop e.g. writing. Children learn to balance, climb and run and have the space to do so. Children also practice using fine motor skills and are encouraged to use tools such as scissors, develop progressive hand grips and mark making both inside and out. They gain an understanding of how to be healthy and why it is important to look after our bodies as well as our minds.
