November Kids Club

19th November 2021Mrs J Parker

At kids club over the past few weeks we have been really interested in building our own dens. So much so that we decided to have our tea in the den and watched the Gruffalo as a special treat!

We have loved exploring outside this week.  We have played in the autumn leaves, played football ,completed the climbing obstacle course and dug for pirate treasure.

For tea on Friday we made fruit kebabs and drizzled chocolate over the top, they were so yummy!

October at kids club

This month at kids club we have been super busy exploring all things autumn and Halloween themed.

The children have joined in with large scale body painting, created autumn animals using leafs we found on a leaf hunt around our forest school , tasted super sour apples that were grown in snug garden.  We helped make chocolate crispy cakes for our pudding ,spotted rainbows on the way to school , designed and carved our own pumpkins and had a good old game of hide and seek!

Kids Club 6.6.21

16th June 2021Mrs J Parker

Kids club have been super busy this week.  Our caterpillars arrived so we have been exploring their life cycle and watching them grow. We cannot believe how fast they change! We have done some caterpillar and butterfly crafts for our new display with paint.

We have splashed in water to cool off from the lovely summer sun we have had this week. The children enjoyed some lovely fruity ice-lollies in the garden too while we had a well-deserved rest after playing some ball games.

Some of the children made some DIY baskets this morning with the help of Miss Hamilton. They loved decorating them with lots of stick on flowers and mini beast shapes.

We are looking forward to getting in our brand new paddling pools and Miss Patterson will be in touch with a day so swimwear and towels can be brought in.

Kids Club Week Ending 28.5.21

27th May 2021Mrs J Parker
Kids club have been using the Hama beads this week to create key chains for school bags and coats. Some of the children decided to make them for their loved ones.
We hope you have a lovely half term and are looking forward to seeing you back soon. After half term we will begin our Butterfly garden project where we will care for caterpillars and watch them grow into beautiful butterflies!

Kids Club week of the 17th May

21st May 2021Mrs J Parker
The children were so excited when they found a birds egg on our yard this week. After some research on our laptop we discovered it was a black birds egg. The children were so kind and caring and made a nest for it so it was safe. We later found out that on the veranda was a nest so we carefully transferred the egg to be with it’s mammy.
In breakfast club we had an open mic morning where the children were able to take turns on the microphone to either sing a song or tell a joke. The children were fantastic performers and audiences for each other.
Large scale drawing has also been a hit this week especially portraits of ourselves and our loved ones. One of our drawings is going to be posted to a grandpa in Poland!
