The chicks are here! The chicks are here!

We have had a brilliant 2 weeks watching the chicks hatch and grow.

We received 10 eggs and numbered them 1 to 10. The children all chose which egg they thought would hatch first.

The children helped feed the chicks and even got to hold them! We watched them grow bigger and flap/walk around. They were full of lots of energy!

The children also identified which chicks were girls and which were boys and helped feed them each day.

BIRTHDAY PARTY DAY!

This is what our monthly birthday party looks like!

Lots of dancing, smiles, games and treats! All the children join in to celebrate the birthdays that month and have such a great time.

So much fun even the teachers join in!!

Each child always wins a prize and we end the session with a yummy party tea in our group rooms.

We have been fortunate to have so much snow this week!

It’s been exciting to explore outside.

The children noticed and identified all the changes that have occurred due to the weather.

We found the frog pond frozen almost solid around the edges and frosty in the middle. The fairy houses were covered in more snow!

We all worked together to make Frank the snowman! The children used wheel barrows and spades to scoop up snow for Mrs Uddin and the children to make Frank.

 

Kids Club Week Ending 28.5.21

Kids club have been using the Hama beads this week to create key chains for school bags and coats. Some of the children decided to make them for their loved ones.
We hope you have a lovely half term and are looking forward to seeing you back soon. After half term we will begin our Butterfly garden project where we will care for caterpillars and watch them grow into beautiful butterflies!

Kids Club week of the 17th May

The children were so excited when they found a birds egg on our yard this week. After some research on our laptop we discovered it was a black birds egg. The children were so kind and caring and made a nest for it so it was safe. We later found out that on the veranda was a nest so we carefully transferred the egg to be with it’s mammy.
In breakfast club we had an open mic morning where the children were able to take turns on the microphone to either sing a song or tell a joke. The children were fantastic performers and audiences for each other.
Large scale drawing has also been a hit this week especially portraits of ourselves and our loved ones. One of our drawings is going to be posted to a grandpa in Poland!
