Christmas 2022

11th January 2023Mrs J Parker

The children were all very excited when we started to rehearse our Wiggly Nativity!  We learned all the songs and the children chose which character they would like to dress up as.  They put on a fantastic performance for their families!

Christmas was such a busy time for us at nursery.  We met Santa, wrote cards, made presents and so much more.

The Christmas party was great fun!  We danced, had a fashion parade and played lots of games. The children were more than ready for their delicious party food.  Then Santa came!!!!

Red Group’s Sticky Fun

15th November 2022Mrs J Parker

This week we explored the texture of different things.  We learned new words to describe how things felt like ‘sticky’ and ‘runny’.  The Gloop was amazing and sometimes it was runny but then it went hard.  We explored the insides of old pumpkins and even made a a cauldron full of witches porridge!

Yellow Group

13th October 2022Mrs J Parker

This has been a really busy week for yellow group.  We have been learning to put our own coats on, build towers, mark make in a variety of places and we even made our own autumn trees with the leaves we collected.

Our favourite phrase of the week is, “We did it!”

We are also exploring all things that are linked to Autumn.  I wonder what colours you can see?

The children used a mix of shaving foam and paint in the builders tray.  They explored how it felt and what happened when they mixed it together.

Our builders have also been very busy!

Our mud kitchen cafe has had lots of orders.

Everybody wanted a picnic!

We have also been busy in the water.

We have also found lots conkers to use in nursery.
