Blue Group

This week we have been learning all about Chinese New Year.  First, we tried a selection of Chinese foods and even used tricky chop sticks!   We listened to Chinese music, played musical instruments and carried out our very own dragon dance outside on the yard.  We also used paint to make Chinese writing/patterns on red and gold card

This week the Blue Group made valentines cards for their families; using glue and different coloured paper.  Once decorated, they then had a go at copying their names inside their cards.

This week we have been using the paint programme on the laptops to create multi-coloured pictures.

The Blue Group listened to the story of The Rainbow Fish; which is about friendships and sharing.  They then decided to draw a picture of the fish in the story.

This week in the Blue Group we have been finding, sorting matching, comparing  and copying our first  initial throughout the daily routine.    

We have had a very busy week dressing up and practicing songs ready for our Nativity show next week!

After listening to the story – Frances the Firefly, the Blue Group used a splash-painting technique to cover a large piece of paper with bright colours. rs, whilst making a huge firework picture.

This week the Blue Group decided to plan and build a train and a boat; as they worked as a team in the block area.
