Easter Stay & Play and 80th Birthday Celebration

4th April 2019J Begum

03.04.19

We had a very busy day today!

The children and grown ups came along to our Through the Decades Easter Stay & Play and explored lots of fun and creative activities. From decorating eggs and making Easter cards to exploring the forest school and chopping vegetables in the house area! The children also got to try out their cooking skills by making chocolate Easter nests to eat in the kitchen.

The children looked great dressed up!

Big congratulations to all the Easter Egg competition winners and Well Done to those that participated!

We also celebrated the Nursery’s 80th Birthday! Wow!

We are so lucky to have been open for so long and developed through the years into what we are today!

We were so pleased with the turn out of guests and thank all that came along to celebrate this special day. The children sang some lovely Easter songs for our grown ups and guests and some even got to see an amazing magic show by Flash the Magician.

We would also like to thank Alan who use to attend this nursery for choosing our Easter Raffle winner!!

Children In Need and Parents sharing week 13.11.17

By F Waterhouse20th November 2017

This week some parents came into nursery on those days where our heating was working to share their skills with the children. We listened to stories, decorated gingerbread men and decorated cakes. On Friday for Children in Need we have a disco outside with pom poms and the children came in wearing something spotty. We raised £47.91!

What an amazing transformation in our nursery sensory garden, mud kitchen area, digging area and forest school!

Thank you so much to all of the children and families who came along to give their help and support to transform the areas in nursery for the children. We worked so hard and just take a look at what we accomplished in just 6 hours!

Nursery Drop In Sessions

By F Waterhouse7th November 2017

This morning Miss Reed held a drop in session for our parents in our studio to discuss anything that the parents wanted to! We talked about the different types of workshops that parents would like us to host, what is going well in nursery, any concerns parents had and discussed the needs of their children. We also arranged for 2 parents to become our parent helpers to sort out the children’s story sacks when this type of library is ready to be available. Parents will be invited to a story sack workshop before this begins. Gemma from Primrose children’s centre came to offer her support and discuss how she can support families in her role as an outreach worker. Her flyer is below with the details of her support. For further information about anything we offer for parents and families at nursery, visit our ‘Parents and Partners in Early Years’ display board in reception or ask any member of staff. Alternatively you could attend another one of these sessions on Thursday 9th November 2pm!
