Good morning everyone,
We have Ofsted visiting us tomorrow. Please see attached letter. I would really appreciate if you could go onto the Parent view Ofsted website and put in your views.
Many thanks
Jenny Parker
The children have been very interested in growing food to eat. We have made our very own allotment and using our skills and knowledge of caring for plants to make sure they get everything that they need to grow.
Today we visited Hall Hill Farm. We were able to hold and pet the smaller animals like the rabbits and the guinea pigs. They were very soft.
We met some animals. We were able to feed the lambs.
They were very hungry!
We went on a very bumpy tractor ride.
We learned where milk comes from and how to squeeze the cows udders to get the milk out.
What an amazing day we have had at Hall Hill Farm!
We caught the tadpoles with the net and observed them with the magnifying glasses. They were excited to see if they had grew legs yet. We also spotted butterflies in the Forest School so we looked at a book about the different types of butterflies, we learned some of their names. We also explored our sense of sight, using mirrors to see the flowers and tress from a different perspective.
Flags have been a big interest in the Blue group after the Coronation and seeing so many Union Jack flags. We observed flags from around the world, looked at their colours, patterns, similarities and differences and made our own.
We have had a fantastic week celebrating the King’s Coronation. We made crowns, had a party and dressed up in red, white and blue.
We have chicks in nursery… how Eggciting!
The children have been so fascinated watching them!! They were very gentle when holding the chicks and stroking them.
We have also made a cake this week, we used a spoon to mix mixture. We cracked an egg and give it all another good mix. Once the cakes had baked in the oven we decorated them using icing and sprinkles.
This term we have taken part in a lot of exciting activities!
1st week back after Easter we welcome a new batch of eggs for us to take care of.
We could not believe it when we saw what came out of the eggs. We learned lots of new words like hatch and embryo and even named the chicks that hatched out of the eggs.
We had some special visitors too!
A paramedic came to school to talk to us about her job working for the ambulance service.
We were then visited by a police officer and talked about the job he did.
We enjoyed this so much that we set up a police station and a hospital on our veranda!
We celebrated the Coronation with our Playgroup today.
