Red Group have had a very busy time in February with lots of different celebrations and lots of snow! We made a huge dragon for Chinese New Year and did a very noisy dragon dance with the children taking turns to play the instruments. We investigated a box full of Chinese objects and learned a lot about their culture. We practiced Chinese writing, using chopsticks and tried Chinese food. Then the snow came! Red Group had a great time digging in it and trying to catch it in their mouths. We made a huge sledge and we all had a turn to slide around the yard. It was great fun! We did not forget about the birds, as we made pine cone bird feeders for them to eat in the cold weather. We made pancakes for Shrove Tuesday and ate them with chocolate sauce. They were delicious. We had to make extra for our pancake races which were very funny!
