This week the children have done their wriggly nativity performances and worked so hard to sing and follow the script! They all looked adorable in their costumes and we are very proud of them all! They have also been making Christmas cards, Calendars and writing letters to Santa, all of which they will take home next week! Merry Christmas Everyone!
Wow what a week we have had! Stay and play day was a huge event as always and well attended by family members. Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported the children during this special day! We had lots of Christmas themed areas and things to make. Then on Friday we had a visit from the Christmas Elf who entertained the children with her wonderful show!
The Blue group designed their own biscuit topping this week – using small smarties just like the spots on Pudsey Bear. They then listened as Mrs Westhall told the children all about pictures from Freddy teddy’s visit to France. After looking at the pictures of the Eiffel tower some of t
he children decided to build there own Eiffel towers using a variety of blocks.
This week the Blue Group have used different mark making materials to make colourful pictures of fireworks, in the night sky. We also watched a short film about Francis the Firefly; which prompted a discussion around fire safety. On Friday we listened to a story all about Diwali – the festival of light, and made our very own Rangoli patterns using brightly coloured pencils. 
This week the children have had a Halloween party and have done some Halloween activities. This is our opportunity to explore what is real and pretend, along with developing role play and imagination.
The children worked very hard to learn their songs for their harvest festival performance. We hoped you enjoyed it!

This week the Blue Group have been very interested in collecting stones. Once our container was full to the top we talked about the different shapes, sizes and textures we had found. We then took part in a placing and arranging activity to create our very own patterns.
Unfortunately the photographer has just cancelled the sessions tomorrow so will be rearranged. We are sorry for any inconvenience
