Another busy time in Red Group! It was our new starters first time in Forest School and all of the children appeared to have a great time. After we had a safety talk with pictures we investigated all of the equipment and discovered lots of fruit that had fallen off the apple and pear trees. We later made them into a lovely crumble! The children used the magnifying glasses to look for creatures and look at the colours of the leaves in the beautiful autumn sunshine. We even found some snail eggs under a log and we found out more interesting facts about snails and slugs in a special book we have in Nursery. What an exciting day! Then we talked about Remembrance Day and what it means. We made poppies to take home. We had a talk about the dentist too and the children had a turn of brushing an enormous set of teeth! There was also 2 more celebrations- Diwali and Children in Need. We found out about Diwali and made special light holders to take home. Then we celebrated C.I.N. by dressing up and making spotty Pudsey bears! What a week!
