This week, we have been talking about Pudsey Bear and Children In Need. The children are raising money for other children who are not as lucky as they are. We have been doing other fun things, such as decorating Pudsey biscuits, singing bear songs, sorting bears and listening to bear stories. It has also been the Hindu festival of Diwali so we read a book about how children all over the world celebrate this. We decided to try our hand at Rangoli patterns. On Tuesday we worked with the compare bears. The children made patterns, counted bears and used the language of size.

It’s been another busy week in the Green Room. The children made up their own sand stories using a variety of small world resources. Will made a zoo, Heidi made a house and Jake retold Goldilocks and the three bears. We played with playdough, Ruby made a camera and Lennon made an ice-lolly. We had loads of fun in Forest School on Friday, climbing, balancing, making fairies and exploring the mud kitchen. Lilly even pretended to be Miss Pollard.

Don’t forget that Nursery will be closed this Friday. We will be back on Monday 27 March
We are celebrating World Book Day by asking the children to come to Nursery dressed as their favourite book character and donating £1 to school funds. Who will you be???? Maybe Little Red Riding Hood? Snow White? Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk? Harry Potter? Where’s Wally? So many to choose from!
Come along to this hour long workshop to find out what happens when you leave your child at Nursery! The workshop is being run twice – 9.00-10.00am and 12.30-1.30pm on Wednesday 4 March. Sign up in Reception if you would like to come along.
Unfortunately our Nursery is closed this morning due to the heating system not working. Hopefully the problem will be rectified by tomorrow and Nursery will be open as usual. Please continue to check our website for further information.
