This morning Miss Reed held a drop in session for our parents in our studio to discuss anything that the parents wanted to! We talked about the different types of workshops that parents would like us to host, what is going well in nursery, any concerns parents had and discussed the needs of their children. We also arranged for 2 parents to become our parent helpers to sort out the children’s story sacks when this type of library is ready to be available. Parents will be invited to a story sack workshop before this begins. Gemma from Primrose children’s centre came to offer her support and discuss how she can support families in her role as an outreach worker. Her flyer is below with the details of her support. For further information about anything we offer for parents and families at nursery, visit our ‘Parents and Partners in Early Years’ display board in reception or ask any member of staff. Alternatively you could attend another one of these sessions on Thursday 9th November 2pm!
Don’t forget that we are closed for our teacher training day on Monday the 30th of October.
Don’t forget we will be holding our annual Harvest Festival performances very soon!
Parents are invited in to nursery to watch the children perform some harvest songs. We are welcoming any non-perishable donations that you can bring in, we will collect these at reception. As in previous years, food will be donated to a local charity in South Shields for their emergency food parcel service.
Performances are as follows:
Morning and MTW children â Tuesday 3rd October at 9:10am
Afternoon and WTF children â Thursday 5th October at 12:30pm
30 hour children â either of the above performances.
Thank you

Don’t forget that Nursery will be closed this Friday. We will be back on Monday 27 March
We are celebrating Red Nose Day on WEDNESDAY 22 MARCH. Wear something red for Nursery and make a £1 donation
Due to the increasing number of children with a range of different allergies, could we please ask parents to ensure that their children do not bring sweets or food into school unless it is a part of their packed lunches. We know that small packets of sweets may be sneaked into pockets, so could we ask that parents check before coming into school! Many thanks for your co-operation with this.
